Caned seat substitution
Substitution is available for seats which require either natural wicker or stitching.
Weaving
Hand-weaving directly onto the structure of the chair.
Re-upholstering
We carry out re-upholstering of chairs, armchairs and sofas (generally with wooden frames).
Re-painting
Where possible we carry out the re-painting of wooden frames, chairs, tables and small items of furniture. We offer varnishing, or simple “touch-ups” with transparent varnishes.
Part substitution for bentwood furniture
We repair the framework, substituting parts such as the support arches, the seat, brackets and seat backs.
Frame gluing
In the case that the chair frame has come unstuck (not broken) but is still in good condition, we also offer a gluing service.
Restoration of woven seats and weaving onto seat frames
We use various types of straw: synthetic straw, natural straw and cord. Seat weaving is carried out by hand, while for removable seats this is done either by hand or mechanically.
